Let’s elect our Democratic candidate for the 8th District! 

On August 4, 2026, we’ll nominate our candidate to represent the 8th District in Virginia in the U.S. House or Representatives, with early voting starting June 18th. The winner will go on to the general election on November 3, 2026. Senator Mark Warner ran unopposed and will compete with the GOP candidate for a Senate seat representing all of Virginia.

EARLY VOTING INFORMATION
August 4, 2026 Dual Primary Election

Every registered voter in Virginia is eligible to vote prior to Election Day. 
The deadline to register to vote or update your address for this election in July 24, 2026.

VOTING IN PERSON

The deadline for in-person early voting is Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 5 PM.

VOTING BY MAIL

The deadline to request a ballot by mail is Friday, July 24, 2026 at 5 PM.

Voters may apply for a by-mail ballot online through the Virginia Department of Elections website here

By-Mail Ballot Drop Box

A ballot drop box is available outside the Office of Voter Registration & Elections until 7 PM on August 4, 2026. This drop box is under video surveillance and available 24 hours a day.
