Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry First Annual Bowling Extravaganza
1:00 – 4:30 pm, Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry First Annual Bowling Extravaganza at the Bowl America, 140 S. Maple Avenue, Falls Church. Teams of five will be bowling for fun and to raise funds for NOVAM’s HIV prevention programs and services to families affected by HIV/AIDS. NOVAM serves many families in Alexandria. NOVAM’s education programs are presented in various Alexandria locations including: TC Williams, Minnie Howard, and the Juvenile Detention Center. Each bowler is asked to raise $50 in sponsorships. Participants receive three games of bowling and shoe rental. All donations are tax-deductible. There will be door prizes, raffles and a 50/50 drawing. In honor of International Women’s Day, Ten Thousand Villages will donate 10 percent of the day’s sales to the Alexandria Office on Women’s Domestic Violence Program.
