Open to the Public – R.E. Lee Camp Hall Museum
10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Open to the Public – R.E. Lee Camp Hall Museum, 806 Prince Street, Alexandria. During the Civil War, this 1850s house served as a hospital by the Union army and after the war, it became the hall for the R.E. Lee Camp #2 for the United Confederate Veterans. The museum houses a collection of Civil War artifacts, including Confederate uniforms, flags, and camp items and other artifacts of the 17th Virginia Infantry Regiment CSA. Alexandria Art Market
10:00 am – 4:00 pm, rain or shine, Alexandria Art Market at the Nicholas A. Colasanto Park, adjoining the Del Ray Artisans gallery at 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria. A variety of original artwork from over 20 artists will be displayed for sale including, but not limited to, painting, photography, pottery, jewelry, and glasswork. This is a rain or shine event and is free and open to the public. The market is held on the 1st Saturdays of June, July, August, September and November.
