    7:00 -9:30 pm, Gerry Connolly's 16th Annual St. Patrick's Day Fete at Kena Temple, 9001 Arlington Blvd., Fairfax. Join all leprechauns, shamrocks, shillelaghs, and honorary Irish for this fete-food, drink and entertainment. Participate in the canned food drive for Fairfax and Prince William Counties and bring a can to the party.   • BRAC-133 Advisory Group Meeting

    7:00 pm, BRAC-133 Advisory Group Meeting at the Beatley Central Library, 5005 Duke Street, Alexandria. The City Council established the BRAC-133 Advisory group to serve as a forum for developing ideas and recommendations related to transportation improvements and other issues associated with the BRAC relocation at the Mark Center.   • Support SCAN of Northern Virginia

    Support SCAN of Northern Virginia while dining at El Paso Cafe, 4235 North Pershing Drive, Arlington. Come and enjoy a Saint Patrick's Day themed dinner and help your community! Arrive between the hours of 5 and 10 pm and 20% of the proceeds will go to support the child abuse prevention programs at SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) of Northern Virginia. SCAN of Northern Virginia works to improve the lives of children through child advocacy, public education and parent education. The financial support we receive from this event is essential to SCAN's ability to continue efforts to protect children and strengthen families across Northern Virginia. Enjoy margarita tastings beginning at 6pm and local acoustic music beginning at 7pm. Advanced reservations are not required but can be made by calling the restaurant at (703) 243-9811.
