Felting Accessories Workshop Session 2
1 to 4 pm, Session 2, felting accessories workshop at the Del Ray Artisans' Gallery, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria. Learn how to turn the felt items from Session 1 into fabulous fashion accessories like felted flowers, bags and scarves. Sewing machine usage and some trim materials will be provided. The National Chamber Ensemble Concert "Coming to America"
4:00 pm, The National Chamber Ensemble Concert "Coming to America!," at The Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre (easy street parking, close to Rosslyn Metro). The concert that is sure to delight all with music of great American composers and works that were inspired by America. The program will include: Ives' "From the Salvation Army"; Gershwin's Suite from "Porgy and Bess;" Barber's Adagio for Strings; and Dvorak's "American." The National Chamber Ensemble is honored that Congressman Jim Moran will be the concert's special guest host. Tickets are $25. Student ticket rate is $15.
