Eighteenth-Century Dance Lessons at Gadsby's Tavern
7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - Eighteenth-Century Dance Lessons at Gadsby's Tavern, 134 North Royal Street, Alexandria. Dance master Corky Palmer will lead this fun and educational series of 18th-century English country dance classes in preparation for the Birthright Ball on February 13.

SCAN Casa Program Multicultural Volunteer Recruitment Event
5:30- 7:30 pm, SCAN of Northern Virginia's Alexandria/Arlington CASA Program is hosting a Multicultural Volunteer Recruitment Event at Cafe Pizzaiolo in Del Ray, 3112 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria. SCAN's CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate Program) trains community members to advocate on behalf of children in the juvenile court system who have been abused or neglected. The program has a need for African American and bilingual Latino volunteers, who can bring a special ability to relate to the children for whom they will advocate.
